Football season may seem a long way off to many. The coaching staff of Warren County understands it won't be long and the Screaming Devils will be opening the season against perennial foe, Washington-Wilkes. The 2007 Screaming Devils began their spring training this week and began to prepare for another exciting season.

Coach Hutto delayed the beginning of spring practice as long as he could due to the strength of the track program at Warren County. The Devils began the week still missing some players that figure to be key in the 2007 season due to their participation in the state track meet to be held next week. Coach Hutto was not too worried, however, as the missing players allow him to spend more time with the rising freshmen.
Coach Hutto used the first practice as an opportunity to formally

introduce Coach Joey Moon to the team. Coach Moon comes to Warren County from G.M.C. and will be coaching the defensive backs. Coach Moon grew up and played his high school football for Lincoln County.
The entire coaching staff is eager to get to work in preparation for the new season. Even more exciting is the fact that they are practicing in the shadows of the new stadium going up in the background
