Warren County Falls to Hancock
All three Warren County basketball ball teams found themselves on the losing side of the scoreboard against Hancock Central Saturday. Fans from both teams filled the gym at Hancock Central for what is, for both schools, one of the biggest games of the year.
The J.V. boys got the night's action going in the first game. Warren County found themselves down by eight at the end of the first quarter and were never able to narrow the deficit. Terrence Hudson had his best game of the season for the Screaming Devils. Hudson turned in an excellent defensive performance with four blocks.

The gym was standing room only by the time the varsity boys took the court and the fans were certainly not disappointed. Hancock got a quick start and jumped out to an early 9-0 lead. The Screaming Devils were not going to go down easily however and rallied to go to the locker room with a score of 31-29, down by only three. The end of third quarter saw Hancock leading by a score of 51-37. Warren County once again dug deep and rallied to make a game of it pulling to within two with less than three minutes to go in the game. With the clock ticking down, the Bulldogs fouled Disco Reese to send him to the line with a chance to tie the game for the Screaming Devils. Reese missed the first of two shots, but completed the second to bring the Devils to within one. After a quick foul, Brandon Nolley found himself completing two from the line for the Bulldogs to extend their lead to four. After another trip to the line, Warren

Tommy Seals led the Screaming Devils in scoring with sixteen points. C.J. Williams was a close second, adding fifteen points of his own. Disco Reese fell just short of double digits, scoring nine points on the night. Both Travis Burley and Williams had a double digit night rebounding with eleven and ten respectively. Burley added four blocks to his season total.
Warren County continues their region schedule against Aquinas Tuesday night at 6:00 in Augusta.
